About AcuPulse CO2
The AcuPulse system is a laser skin resurfacing treatment that is at the cutting-edge of aesthetic techniques and technology. Around the world, it is a top non-invasive treatment with proven long-term results for removing damaged tissues and clearing surface-level skin blemishes. It is a versatile technology that’s also great for a number of other cosmetic skin issues. Quick and powerful, the laser technology used by AcuPulse CO2 can treat a wide range of skin tones and complexions. The compact design of the treatment head is capable of treating skin blemishes on many parts of the body such as the face, body, and more sensitive areas.
One session typically takes about an hour. Although, depending on your goals, multiple sessions are often recommended.
The AcuPulse CO2 uses powerful, but precise laser energy that is closely managed by the built-in Lumenis scanner. The scanner regulates the energy level to ensure total control and safe delivery.
The Science Behind AcuPulse CO2 – Laser Ablation
Ablative lasers such as the Acupulse CO2 system produce laser energy at the 10,600nm wavelength, which is a carefully studied wavelength for skin treatment. At this wavelength, laser energy is quickly absorbed by water within targeted tissue cells. The water heats up in fractions of a second, reaching a boiling point, causing the targeted tissue to break down and evaporate. As a result, the body reacts by triggering healing in the ablated area, as well as collagen production in the deep dermis. The surrounding tissues are not harmed.
The Accupulse laser treatment may be paired with other facial rejuvenation techniques as well as routine skin care for a comprehensive procedure that achieves the absolute best results.
Botox prevents wrinkles and preserves your natural, youthful appearance. The active ingredients in this anti-aging injectable work within the wrinkle-causing muscle groups to relax and limit contractions that cause wrinkles from muscle movement.
Botox injections can take as little as half an hour to perform and deliver results lasting for two to six months.
Injectable fillers address another aspect of facial aging: volume loss. Deepening folds and creases around the nose and mouth (typically called nasolabial folds) appear when the skin loses elasticity and moisture. Injectable fillers, as their name implies, provide volumizing treatments for filling sunken areas, creases, and depressions in the skin.
An injectable filler treatment can take as little as fifteen to thirty minutes, with minimal downtime, and the results are visible almost immediately.
Kybella injections are another facial sculpting option that targets submental fat deposits, which are the stubborn pockets of fat that linger under the chin to create the appearance of a double chin.
The treatment may take as little as half an hour.

Consultations for AcuPulse CO2
Patients in the Oklahoma City areas can book a consultation.
Your consultation is your opportunity to meet one on one with Dr. Bajaj and discuss your goals. During your consultation, Dr. Bajaj will go over your personal goals and assess your specific case to determine a treatment plan that is ideal for your body. She will assess your medical history, current skin condition, and any other additional factors to ensure this procedure is right for you. If deemed a good candidate, you will be able to schedule your treatment before leaving our office. You will also be given personalized instructions to help you prepare for your AcuPulse CO2 treatment.
The AcuPulse CO2 Treatment
AcuPulse CO2 is performed in-office, while you are awake and resting comfortably. We will apply topical anesthetic to your face. You will also be given glasses to protect your eyes during treatment. Then, a handheld AcuPulse CO2 treatment head is held over the targeted area as the laser pulses are emitted. As it is moved along the surface of the skin is blasted by the laser energy. We will then apply a moisturizer, like Aquaphor, to the treated area.
The length of the treatment will vary depending on the size of the treatment area, but if it is a small area, the session may take as little as ten minutes.
AcuPulse CO2 Results and Recovery
Patients may experience redness, flaking, or skin sensitivity and are advised to avoid sun exposure after treatment. A large portion of patients achieve satisfactory results within a single treatment. Depending on the density or type of skin blemishes and wrinkles, some patients may require a course of multiple sessions to achieve the best results.
The number of treatments and details of an individual treatment course are determined during the initial consultation.
