The senior Dr. P. S. Bajaj, who has 50 years of experience in Plastic Surgery including over 41 years in Private Practice in Oklahoma City has elected to limit his practice to Hand Surgery. He has special interest in ‘ Rejuvenation of The Aging Hand ‘ and non-surgical options for treatment of Raynaud’s Disease in the Hands. He will be happy to see patients with other common hand conditions like carpal tunnel syndrome, trigger finger, dupuytrens contracture of the hand and fingers, giant cell tumor and ganglion cyst.
Dr. Paramjit Bajaj is a board-certified plastic surgeon who has been practicing from his Oklahoma City clinic since 1974.
After completing his medical education and training in general surgery in his native India, Dr. Bajaj decided to enter the field of plastic surgery, having seen the life-changing effects of reconstructive surgery. He admired the flexibility and artfulness of plastic surgeons who could transform the appearance of patients suffering from severe traumas or congenital defects.
Dr. Bajaj pursued this ambition and trained in plastic surgery in England, where he was admitted to the Royal College of Surgeons of England and the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 1967. Soon afterwards, he returned to India and served as an assistant professor in plastic surgery for three years.
However, Dr. Bajaj dreamed of operating his own plastic surgery clinic, and this wish soon propelled him across the globe. He moved to the United States in 1972 and furthered his expertise by completing a residency at New York University Medical Center and Oklahoma University Health Sciences Center. He opened his private practice in 1974 and has since practiced in Oklahoma City for nearly 40 years.
Dr. Bajaj’s practice has always been a family affair. Minnie Bajaj, his wife, is the clinic’s office manager, while the other employees have been there for many years. In the 1990s, the couple were delighted to learn that their daughter, Anureet, had decided to follow in her father’s footsteps. Dr. Anureet Bajaj now works alongside her parents to offer plastic and reconstructive surgeries. Dr. Paramjit Bajaj and his team have fostered a warm, inviting environment where patients can be treated like individuals.
Dr. Bajaj has seen numerous changes in the field of plastic surgery over his four decades of medical practice. In many ways, modern media has degraded the image of plastic surgery in the popular imagination, and Dr. Bajaj feels that many patients aren’t aware of the risks involved. While these risks can usually be avoided by a board-certified plastic surgeon, there is a danger when patients imagine that undergoing plastic surgery is akin to patronizing a beauty parlor. Dr. Bajaj knows that a doctor’s chief responsibility is to avoid doing any harm to a patient, and always works to ensure that his clients fully understand the risks involved before committing to surgery.
Dr. Bajaj has numerous certifications and credentials. He holds board certifications with the:
- American Board of Plastic Surgery
- American College of Surgeons
- Royal College of Surgeons of England
- Royal College of Edinburgh
He also received a Certificate of Added Qualification in Hand Surgery in 1990 and 2000. Dr. Bajaj is also an active member in a variety of professional societies:

He looks forward to continuing his work for many years to come.
