What to Expect:
On the day of your treatment, Dr. Bajaj will use a very fine needle to gently inject the Juvederm dermal filler beneath your skin. The smooth gel compound will instantly reduce the appearance of wrinkles, lines and folds by adding extra volume to your tissue.
Once beneath your skin, the HA contained in Juvederm binds with water, and then functions like an internal framework to, support healthy skin. In particular, HA helps absorb and retain water, allowing it to serve as a type of naturally occurring, internal moisturizer. The smoother, younger looking skin achieved through your Juvederm treatment will last anywhere from six months to a full year, at which time additional treatments may become necessary.
Recovery:
There is no real recovery period associated with Juvederm treatments. Although some patients experience a slight degree of redness, puffiness, or slight soreness at injection sites, these symptoms should subside fairly quickly. In any case, you should be able to return to normal activity immediately following treatment.
