Dr. Anureet Bajaj
Dr. Anureet Bajaj is a Board Certified plastic surgeon, raised, educated and trained in the United States, and licensed to practice surgery in four states, including Oklahoma.
After growing up in Oklahoma City, she moved to Houston and attended Rice University where she majored in English and History. While in medical school, she decided to pursue a career in plastic surgery after witnessing several extensive cancer resections. Surgeries that removed a cancer invariably left the patient severely disfigured, and the plastic surgeons would always try to put the patient back together. She became passionate about reconstructive surgery after cancer because she believed that plastic surgery was the only specialty that sought to make a patient whole.
Unlike other surgeons who choose not to perform reconstructive surgery after developing a cosmetic surgery practice, Dr. Bajaj remains committed to breast reconstructive surgery after cancer because of her experience in medical school and is one of the few surgeons who perform the DIEP flap procedure for breast reconstruction. She also performs breast enhancement, breast reduction, tummy tuck, facelift and other plastic surgical procedures.
Dr. Bajaj is active in several professional organizations, including associations of young plastic surgeons and women plastic surgeons. Dr. Bajaj is known for her friendly relationships with her patients. She also enjoys running and has run several marathons, drawing and painting, and reading.
Education and Training:
Dr. Anureet Bajaj completed her undergraduate studies at Rice University in Texas, and then attended the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, where she received the Ross H. Musgrave Plastic Surgery Award. She completed her residency at Loma Linda Medical Center, California, and was trained in microvascular and reconstructive plastic surgery at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.
Work experience:
Dr. Bajaj has been an Assistant Professor of Plastic Surgery at the University of Cincinnati, and also served as the Chief of Plastic Surgery at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Cincinnati.

Dr. Anu Bajaj has numerous publications in the Journal of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the Journal of Craniofacial Surgery, and others. She has also presented at the American Society of Plastic Surgeons Annual Meeting, the Plastic Surgery Research Council, and has been an invited speaker for the Ohio Valley Society of Plastic Surgery, Chesapeake Energy Corporation, and other groups.
